The Ghana Police Service has launched an urgent manhunt for Bright Tetteh, also known as Kofi Y2K, following his escape from custody. Tetteh was arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred in Sefwi Abrokefe, located in the Western North Region.
On September 23, 2024, Tetteh and his accomplice, Yaw Tawiah (alias Jah Boy), were apprehended for stealing valuables, including gold concentrate and several mobile phones. The arrest was made possible thanks to the vigilance of local community members, as highlighted in a recent police statement.
In a surprising twist, Bright Tetteh managed to escape while under police custody, prompting law enforcement to intensify their efforts to locate him. The Ghana Police are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings of Tetteh to assist in his recapture. Meanwhile, Yaw Tawiah remains in police custody and is cooperating with investigators.
