The 6th edition of the National Maulid health walk is scheduled for Sunday September 29, 2024, kicking off at 6 AM from Kwame Nkrumah Circle and concluding at the residence of the National Chief Imam of Ghana in Fadama. Participants will journey through Obetsebi Lamptey Circle, Kaneshi, and Darkuma Junction. This year’s theme, “Fostering Unity and Peace During and After Election 2024,” reflects a commitment to harmony within the community.
Organized by the office of National Chief Imam Dr. Usman Nuhu Sharubutu, in collaboration with Fadama Youth and various organizations, the Maulid Health Walk serves as an event to mark the annual celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.). The celebratory event will commence at 8 PM at the Sharubutu Astro Turf in Fadama.
Hundreds of Muslims, young and old, from diverse backgrounds are expected to join in this communal celebration. The Maulid celebration itself will take place on October 5, marking the birth of the Prophet, which corresponds to the 12th day of the third month in the Islamic calendar.
