For the approaching general elections on December 7, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is requesting a live broadcast of its meeting with the Electoral Commission (EC) to examine the conclusions and observations made in the Provisional Voters Register (PVR). In a letter to the EC, the NDC’s general secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, stated that a live broadcast of the meeting will guarantee the engagement’s transparency.
A similar letter was written on Tuesday, August 27, requesting that the aforementioned meeting be scheduled. According to the NDC, the purpose of the meeting is to address significant disparities that were found during the current 2024 voter exhibition exercise.Concerns were expressed by the NDC and other parties regarding inconsistencies they claimed to have found when the voter registration was displayed from Tuesday, August 20, to Tuesday, August 27.
