Ghanaian-American comedian and actor Michael Blackson has revealed his intention to take legal action against Ghana’s Ministry of Finance after losing his investment in the country’s Eurobond.
The comedian shared that he had invested in the Eurobond with the hope of using the returns to finance the operations of his free school in Ghana. However, the loss of his investment has forced him to explore alternative means of funding the project.
Michael Blackson expressed his frustration on X (formerly known as Twitter), stating, “I’m seeking legal action against the finance ministry of Ghana. I have a free school I’m financing on my own, and they took away the potential earnings I was going to use to fund the school. Now I have to figure something else out for those poor kids,” he posted on October 14.
The comedian has been actively involved in supporting educational initiatives in Ghana, using his resources to build a school for underprivileged children. His legal move marks a significant step in his efforts to recover the lost funds intended to aid this cause.
