Professor Ahmed Nuhu Zakariah, Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), has been honored at the second edition of the 100 Most Influential People Awards (MIPA).
He received a prestigious plaque and a citation in recognition of his remarkable contributions to Ghana’s development and progress.
The citation highlighted his profound impact, stating: “Your contributions to the advancement and development of Ghana and the socio-economic upliftment of its communities have significantly improved their quality of life and global standing. Under Professor Zakariah’s leadership, the National Ambulance Service has seen remarkable progress. Starting as a small initiative with just seven pilot stations in 2004, the Service has expanded to an impressive 297 stations across the country. His efforts have earned widespread acknowledgment and respect within the health sector for transforming emergency medical services in Ghana.
