The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to hold a crucial meeting with civil society organizations, diplomats, and other stakeholders to address concerns over alleged discrepancies in Ghana’s voters’ register. The meeting, announced by the party’s Director of Elections and IT, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Monday, September 23.
The NDC continues to push for a forensic audit of the voters’ register, following a one-week ultimatum given to the Electoral Commission (EC) to respond to its concerns. The party plans to use the meeting to discuss collaborative efforts aimed at advocating for reforms within the EC, stressing the importance of transparency and accountability in the electoral process ahead of the upcoming elections.
