Police Confirm Safe Return of NextGen InfraCo CEO After Abduction Incident

The Ghana Police Service has announced that Tony Mintah, the Chief Executive Officer of NextGen InfraCo, has been found safe.

Earlier, on October 23, the police reported that Mr. Mintah was abducted by unidentified individuals at the premises of the National Communications Authority (NCA). Following the incident, law enforcement urged the public to provide any information that could assist in locating him.

In a recent update, the police confirmed that Mr. Mintah has been located and stated that further details will be released soon.

NextGen InfraCo is the company responsible for upgrading Ghana’s telecommunications infrastructure to the 5G spectrum. In June, Communication Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful launched the Next-Gen InfraCo (NGIC) initiative, aimed at delivering affordable 5G mobile broadband services to Ghanaians.
