The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Effutu constituency is demanding an explanation from the Electoral Commission (EC) regarding the leak of the nomination form for their Parliamentary Candidate, James Kofi Annan.
The party is also seeking updates on a previous petition submitted to the EC concerning the illegal transfer of approximately 3,000 votes to the constituency. Additionally, they are calling on Municipal Chief Executive Kasim Zubeiru to cease the destruction of campaign billboards belonging to James Kofi Annan.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, October 2, after presenting a petition to the chief of Effutu, Nenyi Ghartey VIII, party secretary Abraham Henry Arthur urged traditional authorities to intervene in the Nomination Form leak issue and hold both the Municipal Chief Executive and the Electoral Commission accountable, warning that the party may take further action if necessary.
