The NPP’s running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has appealed to the people of Assin North not to commit the fatal electoral blunder of 2008 which saw them voting for power into the hands of the NDC.
Addressing local chiefs, Imams and clergy during a meeting at Assin Praso in the Assin North Constituency in the Central Region, Dr. Opoku Prempeh described NDC as full of deceit which brought about the defeat of President Kufuor’s government in spite of achievements.
He said this kind of appointments could be reversed by the NDC if they should gain power again in the future as has been proven by the action of the present government. However, he was sure that Dr. Bawumia and the NPP would not relent in the development of these successes.
Stephen Asamoah Boateng, Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, have also solemnized this same view, calling on the youth not to continue changing governments in every eight year term which he said slows down development. He urged them to allow the NPP to continue managing the country’s affairs.
Nana Asiedu Appau the Adontenhene of Assin Akonfudi commended the NPP for the developments saying, including the AGENDA 111 hospital at Assin Bereku and Praso – Fosu Road but he also urged the government to attend to other needs in the area that are as pressing.
