Nsoatreman Football Club head coach Yaw Preko has expressed confidence that his team will give a strong performance in the second leg against CS Constantine of Algeria, despite losing the first leg 2-0. The match, held at the Accra Sports Stadium, saw both goals scored by Algerian forward Zakaria Benchaa, who found the net in the 11th and 27th minutes.
Benchaa’s first goal was the result of a remarkable solo run down the right flank, ending with him slotting the ball between Nsoatreman goalkeeper Ferdinand Sabi’s legs. His second goal came from a superb 25-yard strike. In his post-match remarks, Yaw Preko assured that Nsoatreman will be competitive in the second leg, scheduled to take place in Algeria on September 21. This marks Nsoatreman’s debut in the CAF Confederation Cup.
