The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has urged passport applicants who made payments before April 1, 2024, but have not yet completed their biometric capture, to visit their selected Passport Application Centres (PACs) and finalize the process by October 18, 2024. This information was released in a statement dated September 18, 2024.
According to the release, passport applications submitted under the old fees of GHC100 and GHC150 will be rendered invalid after the deadline. This follows a fee adjustment in line with the Fees and Charges (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations, 2023 (L.I 2481), which took effect on April 1, 2024. The revised fees are now GHC500 for a 32-page passport, GHC644 for a 48-page passport, and GHC800 for expedited services.
