Ghana’s Parliament, under Speaker Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has been recognized as the best among the three branches of government for its Audit Committee performance. The award was presented by Dr. Eric Osae, Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency, in a ceremony at Parliament House.
Dr. Osae highlighted that the award evaluates the Performance of the Audit Committees of the Legislature, Executive, and Judiciary based on criteria such as interactions between Heads of Government and Audit Committees, collaboration with management on audit recommendations, and capacity building for internal auditors.
Last year, Speaker Bagbin was also honored for his exemplary leadership and commitment to financial discipline in managing Parliamentary funds.
