9 wood workers perish in road accident at Mim

Nine employees of the Infix Wood Company in Mim, in the Ahafo Region have perished in an accident on the Goaso-Mim road. It is reported that a number of employees at the company that makes plywood have suffered injuries varying in severity.

The business bus with registration number AC 775-24 and a tipper truck collided head-on on Friday morning. When the accident happened at the portion of the road, the bus was carrying the workers to their place of employment. The exact number of workers on the bus is unknown, though.

For medical attention, the victims were hurried to the Goaso Government Hospital. For preservation, the deceased’s bodies have been placed in the same hospital mortuary.
