Two Democracy Hub Protest Suspects Hospitalized for Medical Care

The Ghana Police Service has reported that two individuals involved in the Democracy Hub protest have been admitted to the Police Hospital for medical treatment after expressing health concerns. This information was shared in a press release on September 25.

According to the statement, “Suspect Fanny Otoo reported feeling unwell on September 24 while preparations were underway for their court appearance. The police promptly took him to the Police Hospital in Accra, where he received medical attention and was subsequently admitted for further care.”

Additionally, “Suspect Oliver Barker-Vormawor was also taken to the Police Hospital for medical assistance after reporting illness late on the same day. Medical staff evaluated his condition and admitted him for treatment.” The police emphasized, “At no point have we denied these suspects any medical attention.”
