A chilling CCTV video has surfaced just hours after a daring daylight robbery at a jewelry store in Adabraka, Accra, showing the dramatic moments leading up to the theft. The Ghana Police Service has launched an intensive manhunt for the suspects, who allegedly stole over GH¢6 million from a customer and left another person injured during the incident.
The robbery took place at Adabraka Market on the morning of Saturday, November 2, throwing the area into chaos as stunned shoppers and vendors witnessed the dramatic scene. According to sources, the victim, a customer of an Accra-based gold jeweler, lost millions of cedis as the robbers executed their swift, well-planned heist.
Amateur footage from the scene captured local residents looking on helplessly as the robbers approached their target’s vehicle with guns drawn, firing warning shots into the air to disperse the crowd. Panic erupted as shoppers and vendors scrambled for cover, hiding behind market stalls or fleeing as gunshots echoed through the bustling marketplace. The armed suspects forced their way into the Toyota vehicle and quickly grabbed large bags filled with cash before making a swift escape.
In a statement, the Ghana Police Service assured the public that efforts are underway to apprehend the culprits. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects to come forward and assist with the investigation.
