A high-profile delegation from SHE Empowerment Global in the United States is set to arrive in Ghana today, October 7, in anticipation of the organization’s official launch on October 11. The initiative aims to empower single women, including mothers, by providing them with essential entrepreneurial skills to foster economic independence.
The delegation will be led by founder Lady Patricia Adams Williams, accompanied by SHE Empowerment Global Ambassador Dr. Cheryl Polote-Williamson and Board member Dr. Shirley Clarke. The launch event will take place at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, where the organization’s mission to break the cycle of poverty among young women aged 18-35 will be unveiled.
In a statement, SHE Empowerment Global emphasized the importance of nurturing entrepreneurial skills among women, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. “We foster businesses that are scalable, so that participants not only generate income but can also reinvest and grow,” said Lady Patricia Williams.
During their visit, the SHE Empowerment Global delegation plans to engage with key stakeholders in Ghana, including policymakers, local NGOs, community leaders, and potential private sector partners. They will meet with notable figures such as Honourable Nana Oye Bampoe, gender activist Madam Delasi Amable, and Dr. Benedict Yartey, an educationist, to strengthen support for the organization’s mission.
Additionally, the delegation will visit the Princess Marie Louise Hospital in Kantamanto, Accra, to explore potential collaborations. They will also connect with the Ghana Beauticians Association to discuss their vision for empowering women in entrepreneurship.
On October 10, the delegation will hold discussions with the staff of the Africa Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA), where Executive Director Dr. Rasheed Draman, a Ghanaian member of the SHE Empowerment Global Board, will lead the conversation. The following day, they will participate in a durbar organized by Paramount Queenmother Mamaga Atove IV in the Leklebi Traditional Area.
Lady Patricia, an executive member of the American Care Foundation, is renowned for her contributions to education and child development. Co-founder Dr. Cheryl Polote-Williamson is a multi-best-selling author and transformational speaker with expertise in mindset coaching and empowerment.
