TikTok influencer Odesanmi Opeyemi, popularly known as Oloba Salo, was shot by an unidentified gunman on Thursday, October 10, in the Lekki area of Lagos state.
The attack reportedly occurred near Tantalizer Junction while Salo was driving his white SUV. A viral video capturing the scene of the incident circulated online, with an individual narrating, “This is Salo’s car; you can see it for yourself. You think it’s a joke. This is his blood here.”
The footage showed two bullet casings on the driver’s seat alongside visible bloodstains inside the vehicle. Witnesses claimed that a person pretending to be a beggar approached Salo’s car and opened fire when he rolled down his window.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos state police, confirmed the shooting and stated that Salo is receiving medical treatment. The police have launched an investigation into the attack to apprehend the culprit.
