The President nominated two individuals to Supreme Court and the Process of confirming their nomination has been slow hitherto because of efforts being made by the Minority in Parliament to block it.
On August 13, both the nominee Justice Sophia Bernasko Essah and Professor Richard Frimpong Oppong were to be interviewed by the Parliamentary Appointments Committee trying to establish if the two deserve a seat in the Supreme Court.
However, when the Minority raised concerns on the constitutionality of the appointments, the session turned into chaos.
