A 55-year-old woman, known only as Ifeoma, tragically passed away after collapsing while sharing a testimony at the Ministry Church in Ejigbo, Lagos State, on September 8. According to witnesses, Ifeoma had approached the front of the church, joyfully singing songs of thanksgiving in preparation for her testimony, when she suddenly collapsed.
Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident to Punch, explaining that the woman was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. She was later referred to a General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Following the incident, detectives were dispatched to the hospital to investigate further. However, upon arrival, they were informed that Ifeoma’s husband and family had already transported her remains to her hometown in Anambra State for burial.
The sudden and unexpected death has left the church community in shock and mourning.
