Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Thomas Partey is fit and available for their upcoming Premier League clash against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
The 31-year-old midfielder had to withdraw from Ghana’s squad for their double-header against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers due to “medical issues,” as reported by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
During a press conference on Friday morning, Arteta provided an update on Partey’s recovery, stating, “Thomas Partey is fit and ready.” This is a positive development for Arsenal, as Partey is expected to play in their next game. Arteta also mentioned that decisions regarding Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz would be made later, adding, “For Gabriel Martinelli and Havertz, we will decide today.”
Arteta further updated on the conditions of other players, saying, “Ben White, Timber, and Zinchenko are quite close. We hope to have some positive news.”
Arsenal will travel to the Vitality Stadium this weekend, aiming for another win to boost their position in the Premier League standings.
