United Voices For Change Demands Postponement Of The Voter Exhibition

Concerned about justice and transparency, United Voices for Change, a pressure organization, has asked the Ghanaian electoral commission to reschedule the voter registration display. Antwi Sylvestin Ronald, the group’s convenor, attacked the Electoral Commission at a news conference for supposedly sabotaging Ghana’s democracy. He claimed that the current voter registration is not prepared for display and questioned the legitimacy of the exhibition, which is set for August 20, 2024.

The group expressed dissatisfaction with the commission’s lack of response to these problems and how stolen Biometric Verification Devices were handled. They also questioned why other parties have not come out and accused the commission of withholding the register for political parties to evaluate. United Voices for Change demanded openness and urged well-known people to step in. They vowed to organize a large-scale rally if their requests are not addressed and cautioned that continuing with the exhibition without resolving these issues could spark trouble.
