Electoral Commission Urges Voters to Verify Details Before October 19 Deadline

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that voters will not be able to request corrections to their details once the ongoing re-exhibition exercise ends on October 19.

The Commission is currently re-exhibiting the revised provisional voters’ register, allowing voters to check their details and rectify any errors before the final register is published. Voters can verify their information by dialing the short code *711*51# or visiting the EC’s website.

The EC also encouraged the public to report discrepancies to their local district offices for correction.

During an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on October 15, the EC provided soft copies of the revised voters’ register to all political parties and independent candidates to help identify any discrepancies.

The re-exhibition runs from October 15 to October 19, and the revised register reflects improvements over the version exhibited in August.
