The 2024 Voters Exhibition Exercise will be launched by the Electoral Commission (EC) today, August 20, and will run through August 27, 2024. The purpose of the initiative, according to Dr. Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairman of the EC in charge of Corporate Services, is to assist voters in finding their designated polling places. In this manner, people would find it simpler to visit their polling place on December 7 and cast their ballot, which would ease the procedure.
During a press conference on August 19, the EC stated that among other things, registered voters can ask to have names that have been left off of the register, object to the names of voters there, have the names of deceased voters removed from the register, demand that voter ID cards that are damaged or of poor quality be replaced, have spelling errors in names corrected, and request amendments to other registration details. Dr. Asare stated that this was essential to guaranteeing the smooth conduct of elections.
