The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has agreed to the Electoral Commission’s (EC) commitment to provide political parties with the corrected and updated 2024 Provisional Voters Register for review within a week. In a press release issued on Tuesday night, October 1, 2024, the NDC also expressed support for the EC’s decision to re-exhibit the updated Provisional Voters Register.
The NDC further called for a multi-stakeholder and interparty review of the EC’s IT system, citing the need to address vulnerabilities that the EC itself has acknowledged. These vulnerabilities, the NDC argued, could be exploited by criminals, potentially compromising the integrity of the December 7, 2024, elections if left unresolved.
