The travel group known as Wanderlust Ghana that stormed online circles recently with their epic journey from Accra to London by road is preparing to embark on another dangerous journey. After successfully navigating two continents and twelve countries in a 16-day journey, the team now has an even more ambitious goal: A cross-continental journey by road from Accra through Paris and Dubai to Cape Town, which is approximately 30000 kilometers.
The full interview with the CEO of InkIt and a key stakeholder in Wanderlust Ghana, Franklin Peters, gives information on the trip on Adomonline, in a conversation with Dennis Kofi Adu. This is perhaps due to security considerations that have been placed around the details of the trip though Franklin affirmed that the tour is set to commence this month.
This new adventure will be slightly different from the one they have just embarked on in the following ways. Although the earlier journey involved eleven men and one woman, in this case six members of their private club will be involved, and all of them will travel in only three automobiles. It is, however, important to note that Franklin’s son, who participated in the final trip, will only be joining his father and mother later as he is in the United States tending to his business.
Franklin again emphasized that Wanderlust Ghana is a group of friends who embarked on road trips and financially help each other, thus it is difficult to open to the public. However, he did not completely dismiss the idea of a public trip within the country or even across the sub-region in the future.
The new mission represents difficulties especially on the issue of tolls on global motorways, transport, lodgings, and meals. Nevertheless, the team remains committed to moving forward.
