Omar Marmoush made a stunning impact at Manchester City, announcing himself in style with a remarkable 14-minute first-half hat-trick to help Pep Guardiola’s side secure a dominant win over Newcastle and climb to fourth in the Premier League.

The Egyptian forward, who arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt last month in a £59 million deal, had gone four games without a goal but ended his drought emphatically.

Marmoush’s opener came when he capitalized on a defensive lapse from Kieran Trippier, pouncing on a long pass from goalkeeper Ederson. He then doubled City’s lead with a composed finish after Ilkay Gündogan’s perfectly threaded through ball split the Newcastle defense. His third goal, a precise first-time strike from 10 yards out, completed his hat-trick in just 13 minutes and 54 seconds—making it the fourth-fastest Premier League treble by a City player, behind only Sergio Agüero’s record nine-minute hat-trick in 2015.

City’s dominance continued in the second half, with substitute James McAtee adding a fourth goal after Erling Haaland flicked the ball into his path. Even without key defenders Manuel Akanji, Ruben Dias, and Nathan Aké, Guardiola’s side looked like their formidable best, delivering a performance reminiscent of their dominant past seasons.

The only concern for City was Haaland’s early exit after picking up a knock four minutes from time—an injury Guardiola will hope isn’t serious ahead of their crucial Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

For Newcastle, it was yet another disappointing trip to the Etihad Stadium, where they have now suffered 16 consecutive defeats. They have also failed to score on their last six visits, highlighting their struggles against City on the road.
