Prophet Kumchacha Says Marriage Brings More Problems Than Benefits

Prophet Kumchacha on marriage has sparked conversation after he described it as problematic and full of challenges. The founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, shared his strong views on the difficulties of marriage in an interview with Zionfelix on February 19, 2025.

Marriage Brings More Problems Than Benefits – Prophet Kumchacha

According to Prophet Kumchacha, marriage holds little value because it often leads to problems, depression, and emotional struggles if couples are not compatible. He even suggested that if Jesus Christ had married, he might have missed heaven due to the temptations of marriage.

“If marriage were an easy thing, Jesus Christ would have gotten married himself. If Jesus had gotten married, he might have missed heaven, especially if he had married a bad woman. Prominent people are crying behind closed doors because of marriage,” he stated.

Prophet Kumchacha Wants Marriage to Be a Renewable Contract

The outspoken preacher further proposed that marriage should be a contract, allowing couples to renew it only if they are happy.

“Marriage comes with a lot of drama, and if we were to come back to life again, I would plead with God to make marriage a contract so people can renew it when they are happy. If marriage wasn’t created by God, I would have said it is useless,” he added.

Marriage Linked to Depression and Abuse

Prophet Kumchacha on marriage also noted that many people are suffering in silence due to abusive and unhappy marriages. He believes that marriage has led to depression, emotional trauma, and even death for some individuals.

“A lot of people have died because of marriage. Because of marriage, people are going through depression and a whole lot of abuse. I see marriage as a poison. If we were to come back to life after death, I would plead with God to stop marriage itself,” he said.

His comments have sparked mixed reactions, with some agreeing that marriage can be stressful, while others argue that it is a sacred institution meant to be endured with patience and commitment.
