Blakk Rasta Blasts Ken Ofori-Atta and Amin Adam for Ghana’s Economic Woes
Renowned broadcaster and musician Blakk Rasta has launched yet another blistering attack on former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and his successor, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, accusing them of worsening Ghana’s economic struggles while amassing wealth for themselves.
Speaking on 3FM’s Urban Blend, Blakk Rasta did not hold back in his critique, particularly targeting Ofori-Atta’s alleged exploitation of Ghana’s financial system for personal gain. He pointed to the role of Data Bank, the investment firm co-founded by Ofori-Atta, which was deeply involved in government bond transactions during his tenure as Finance Minister.
Blakk Rasta Slams Ofori-Atta’s Alleged Hypocrisy
Blakk Rasta lashed out at Ofori-Atta for masking his economic policies behind religious rhetoric while, according to him, contributing to the financial suffering of ordinary Ghanaians.
“When Data Bank was raking in millions from the sweat of poor Ghanaians, these so-called leaders still had the audacity to preach about Christianity. They quote the Bible at every turn, yet their actions contradict the very scriptures they claim to uphold. This is hypocrisy of the highest order,” he fumed.
He also accused the former minister of implementing policies that pushed vulnerable citizens into financial distress, particularly pensioners who struggled with the effects of the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme.
“How can you claim to be a servant of God when your policies send old men and women to early graves? When pensioners weep, when people lose their livelihoods, all while you sit back and smile? That is pure deception.”
Amin Adam Accused of Continuing Ofori-Atta’s Policies
Blakk Rasta argued that the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam as Finance Minister was merely a cover-up to maintain the same economic mismanagement that plagued Ofori-Atta’s tenure.
“They simply replaced Ofori-Atta with another puppet. Amin Adam didn’t think twice before jumping into the position. He was too eager to take the job, failing to realize he was stepping into an economic disaster,” he remarked.
He further alleged that Amin Adam was deliberately chosen because he could be easily controlled, much like Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, whom he accused of misleading Ghanaians with empty promises.
“Just like they used Bawumia to cover their mess, they are now using Amin Adam. Bawumia’s political career is already in shambles because of his lies. And Amin Adam is heading down the same path. History will judge them all.”
Predictions for Amin Adam’s Future
Blakk Rasta did not mince words when predicting Amin Adam’s legacy, stating that his tenure as Finance Minister would ultimately damage his reputation beyond repair.
“Amin Adam thought he was making history, becoming the first Finance Minister from the north. But he didn’t stop to assess the mess he was walking into. Now, he speaks ignorantly because he refuses to acknowledge the damage being done to the economy.”
He warned that future generations would remember Amin Adam not for reforming Ghana’s economy but for perpetuating the suffering of ordinary citizens.
“At the end of the day, what will Amin Adam be remembered for? Not for fixing the economy, but for worsening the plight of the people. That’s what happens when you put personal ambition over national interest.”
Final Thoughts
Blakk Rasta’s scathing criticism adds to the growing discontent surrounding Ghana’s economic policies. As citizens continue to struggle under rising inflation and financial instability, calls for accountability remain louder than ever. Whether Amin Adam will prove his critics wrong or follow in the footsteps of his predecessor remains to be seen, but for now, the heat is on Ghana’s financial leaders.
