NSA says Baba Yara Stadium is prepared to host games.

Seth Panwum, Chairman of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Board, has announced that the Baba Yara Stadium is once again fit for hosting football matches.

The stadium had been temporarily closed after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) withdrew its license due to the pitch’s poor condition. However, following significant maintenance efforts, Panwum confirmed in an interview with Channel One TV that the field is now up to the required standards.

“Baba Yara has undergone re-turfing, and it has reached the level we need,”

Panwum stated.

He added that with continued maintenance after each game, the pitch should remain in top condition. “We will also conduct further reviews to ensure it’s fully ready, allowing Kumasi Asante Kotoko to return to their home ground,” he noted.
