Otto Addo has bolstered the Black Stars squad with six late call-ups for their final qualifying matches for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The newly added players include Osman Bukari (Austin FC), Ransford Yeboah Koningsdorffer (Hamburger SV), Forson Amankwah (Norwich City), Terry Yegbe (IF Elfsborg), Ebenezer Annan (OFK Beograd), and Kingsley Schindler (Samsunspor). This adjustment follows the withdrawal of eight players due to injuries, with key names like Joseph Paintsil, Antoine Semenyo, Ibrahim Osman, Tariq Lamptey, Jerome Opoku, and Inaki Williams among those sidelined, as confirmed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The Black Stars will open camp today in Accra, where they’ll hold their first training session at 17:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium, open to fans. A second, closed training session is scheduled for Tuesday, after which the squad will travel to Luanda on Wednesday.
Ghana’s first match will be against Angola on November 15 at the Estádio 11 de Novembro, followed by a home game against Niger Republic on November 18 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Currently sitting in third place in Group F with just two points from four matches, the Black Stars are focused on turning their campaign around to secure qualification for the 2025 tournament in Morocco.
