Think very well before you vote – Michael Blackson urges Ghanaians
As Ghana prepares for its December 7 general elections, Ghanaian-American comedian Michael Blackson is urging citizens to think critically before casting their votes. In a recent interview with Joy News, Blackson acknowledged the economic challenges the country has faced, particularly since the onset of COVID-19, and called for careful consideration in choosing the next leader.
“It’s been a very tough last few years. Since COVID, it’s been tough for the economy and for people. We have to find a way to get Ghana back to where it used to be,” he said, stressing the importance of a thoughtful voting decision. Blackson also emphasized the need for active participation in the electoral process, urging Ghanaians not to simply complain about the situation but to make their voices heard at the polls. “You can’t just complain about this and that. No. Go out and vote. Make your vote count,” he encouraged.
Additionally, Blackson reminded Ghanaians to prioritize their faith, urging them to put God first and not rely solely on political leaders to improve their lives. “You cannot rely on a leader to justify your life. Keep moving regardless. Be great and do the right thing,” he concluded.
