The Electoral Commission (EC) has set Tuesday, February 11, 2025, as the date for the Council of State election.
As part of preparations, the EC has opened nominations for individuals interested in contesting. Prospective candidates are required to submit their nomination forms along with two recent passport-sized photographs.
In a statement, the Commission outlined that nomination submissions will be accepted from January 28 to January 31, 2025, during specified hours: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the morning and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the afternoon. Applications are to be submitted to the EC’s Regional Directors.
Nomination forms can be accessed free of charge on the Commission’s official website, www.ec.gov.gh.
The EC has urged all eligible individuals to take note of the submission window and comply with the outlined requirements to participate in the upcoming election.
