Ghanaian musician J.Derobie has revealed some of the challenges he has faced since rising to fame, admitting that the pressures of the music industry can be overwhelming.

In an interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz, the Poverty hitmaker shared that one of his biggest regrets is losing the freedom to go about his daily life without constant recognition and attention from fans.

He expressed frustration over how even simple activities, like buying food, have become difficult due to his celebrity status.

“Sometimes, I just want to buy my waakye in peace, but people recognize me and insist on paying for it. I appreciate the love, but sometimes I just want to do my own thing,” he said.

Despite the challenges that come with fame, J.Derobie remains focused on his goals. He reaffirmed his ambition to reach the top of the music industry, stating, “I still have that dream that I will make it to the top, that we will win a Grammy and more.”

While he acknowledges the downsides of being in the public eye, J.Derobie remains determined to push forward and achieve greater success in his music career.
