President John Mahama has nominated Dr. Doli-Wura Awushi Abdul-Malik Seidu Zakaria as the new Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB).
A letter from the Office of the President, signed by Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, confirmed that the appointment takes effect from January 27, 2025.
Addressed to the Minister of Finance, the letter instructed that all necessary procedures be followed to formalize Dr. Zakaria’s appointment in accordance with the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 929) and the bank’s constitution.
Dr. Zakaria steps into the role at a critical moment for NIB, with hopes that his leadership will usher in strategic reforms to strengthen the banking sector.
