Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced the suspension of all recruitments made in November 2024, in response to a directive from the Chief of Staff, which called for the nullification of such appointments.
This move aligns with a previous instruction given to all heads of government institutions to reverse any recruitments made after December 7, 2024, citing concerns over the need to uphold good governance practices.
As part of the directive, institutions are required to submit detailed reports on how they are implementing the orders by February 17, 2025.
In a statement released on Tuesday, February 11, GWL clarified that all recruits appointed in November 2024 and assigned to various regions but not yet included in the payroll by January 2025 are to be suspended.
The management of GWL explained that this suspension is necessary to allow for a comprehensive review and audit of the recruitment process.
“Further directives will be issued as necessary,” the statement concluded.
