I’ve been inspired to venture into farming by Mahama’s ‘Nkoko nketenkete’ policy – Ras Kuuku

Ghanaian reggae artist Ras Kuuku has announced his decision to venture into poultry farming, drawing inspiration from President Mahama’s ‘Nkoko Nketenkete’ policy. In a recent interview, Ras Kuuku emphasized the potential of this initiative to empower youth and reduce chicken imports. He stated, “When Mahama was campaigning, he promised that he would bring the Nkoko Nketenkete for the youth to engage in farming.” Ras Kuuku believes that by supporting young farmers across various constituencies, Ghana can achieve self-sufficiency in poultry production by December. He also highlighted the health benefits of locally bred chicken, noting its lower cholesterol and fat content, which appeals to consumers, especially children. By embracing this policy, Ras Kuuku aims to make the ‘Nkoko Nketenkete’ initiative fully operational, thereby creating employment opportunities and boosting the local economy.
