The 23 constituency organizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Central Region have declared their full support for Ekow Panyin Eduamoah, President John Dramani Mahama’s nominee for Central Regional Minister.
At a press conference led by their dean, Raymond A. Moore, the organizers expressed gratitude to the President for selecting a leader with strong grassroots connections. They described Eduamoah as a hardworking and respected figure, highlighting his prior roles as the region’s First Vice Regional Chairman and an operations officer during the recent campaign.
“We wholeheartedly welcome his nomination and are confident that he will deliver effectively as the Central Regional Minister,” they affirmed.
The organizers also used the platform to appeal to President Mahama to prioritize the completion of critical development projects in the region. These include the Komenda Sugar Factory, the Elmina Fish Processing Factory, the Anomabo Fishery College, and the Ajumako-Bisease Nursing Training School. They emphasized that finishing these projects would create significant employment opportunities for the region’s youth.
Additionally, the organizers commended the President for other key appointments, such as Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson as Minister for Finance, Felix Kwakye Ofosu as Acting Spokesperson for the Presidency, Prof. Ama Brown Klutse as CEO of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, who has become the first female Vice President in Ghana’s history.
The constituency organizers pledged their unwavering support for both the nominee and the Presidency, vowing to collaborate in advancing the development agenda of the Central Region.
