Ahead of his election, President John Dramani Mahama pledged to appoint a total of 60 ministers to manage the affairs of the nation.
To date, he has appointed 42 ministers, with 18 more positions yet to be filled. This includes 26 ministers of state and 16 regional ministers, while deputy ministerial appointments remain pending.
