McDan Aviation has resumed its Fixed Base Operator (FBO) services at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) following a temporary suspension caused by a financial dispute with the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL). Operations officially restarted on January 20, 2025, after the two parties reached an agreement on payment terms.

The disagreement stemmed from an outstanding debt of over $3.9 million, comprising US$3,995,622.66 and GH¢13,523.37, which had been accumulating since 2020. Last week, McDan Aviation made a payment of GH¢2 million, but GACL initially demanded full settlement before permitting the terminal’s reopening.

After productive discussions, both sides successfully resolved the matter, allowing McDan Aviation to resume its operations. In a statement issued on January 21, 2025, McDan Aviation thanked GACL for its cooperation and support in resolving the issue and reopening Terminal 1.

A visit by Graphic Online confirmed that McDan Aviation’s staff and security personnel have returned to work, and company vehicles were observed at Terminal 1 on Tuesday, signaling the full resumption of services.

With its FBO services back in operation, McDan Aviation is once again providing high-end private jet services. These include access to luxury lounges, personalized concierge assistance, and cutting-edge facilities designed to offer clients a secure and seamless travel experience.

“We are thrilled to welcome our valued clients back and remain committed to delivering the premium services they know and trust,” the company stated.
