Parliament has approved the appointments of Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare as ministers, following a comprehensive vetting process and subsequent debate in the House. The nominations were confirmed through a majority vote.
The Parliamentary Appointments Committee conducted a rigorous vetting process, assessing the nominees’ qualifications, experience, and plans for their respective ministries.
Ahmed Ibrahim, the Member of Parliament for Banda, has been appointed Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs.
Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, MP for Krowor, will now lead the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, while Techiman North MP Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare has been entrusted with the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry.
The newly approved ministers have been praised for their commitment to public service and their ability to drive grassroots development.
