Rapper Sarkodie has addressed allegations by fellow artist Kofi Mole, who accused him of ignoring repeated attempts to shoot a music video for their joint track, Makoma.
Kofi Mole recently revealed that the lack of promotion for their collaboration stemmed from Sarkodie’s refusal to participate in the video shoot. According to a tweet by Kofi Mole, he had reached out to Sarkodie several times, but his efforts went unanswered.
Responding to the claims, Sarkodie clarified that he was unaware of any attempts by Kofi Mole to arrange the shoot. He attributed the misunderstanding to possible miscommunication or an oversight and expressed surprise at the situation.
Known for avoiding public confrontations, Sarkodie stated that he decided to address the matter out of respect and admiration for Kofi Mole. The celebrated rapper emphasized that he valued the collaboration, evident in his decision to contribute a verse to the project in the first place.
Sarkodie also urged the public to ease up on the criticism, noting that his name has been at the center of numerous controversies recently. He appealed for understanding and encouraged Ghanaians to let the issue rest.
Both artists have yet to confirm whether they will move forward with completing the music video, leaving fans eager for updates.
