A 14-year-old girl has reportedly died in Binaba in the Upper East Region after a violent incident in her home, sparking shock and concern in the community.
According to information gathered, the incident happened while the girl was home alone after her parents had travelled to attend a funeral. A young man is alleged to have entered the home and attacked her, leading to fatal injuries.
Family sources say the victim had previously raised concerns about the same individual, claiming he had earlier attempted to assault her. The suspect, locally known as “Kay 2,” is also alleged to have been linked to other attempted incidents involving students in the area.
The family is now calling on the Ghana Police Service and the Inspector General of Police to urgently intervene, insisting that earlier complaints were not adequately addressed and demanding swift justice.
The incident has left residents in fear, with growing calls for stronger protection for minors and improved response to early warning reports of such threats.
