President John Mahama has officially sworn in the fourth group of ministers of state following their parliamentary approval. The ceremony, held on Friday, February 7, at Jubilee House, was conducted in line with Article 78(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
This latest group of appointees includes Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo as Minister for Labour, Jobs, and Employment, alongside Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, who takes over as Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology.
Samuel Nartey George has been entrusted with the Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations portfolio, while Kofi Iddie Adams assumes office as Minister for Sports and Recreation.
Other key appointments include Joseph Bukari Nikpe as Minister for Transport, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh as Minister for Health, and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who now leads the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu has been designated as Minister of State for Government Communications, with Seidu Issifu overseeing Climate Change and Sustainability as Minister of State.
In the regional ministerial appointments, Charity Gardiner has been named Ahafo Regional Minister, while Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu will lead the Savannah Region. Wilbert Petty Brentum has been sworn in as Western North Regional Minister.
Joseph Nelson takes up the role of Western Regional Minister, Joseph Addae Akwaboa will oversee the Bono Region, and Francis Owusu Antwi will serve as Bono East Regional Minister. Additionally, Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere assumes office as Central Regional Minister, while Puozuing Charles Lwanga has been appointed Upper West Regional Minister.
With their induction, the newly appointed ministers are expected to contribute their expertise and leadership to drive national development and policy implementation in their respective sectors.
