Simon Madjie has been named the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), taking over from Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong, who held the position for only a few weeks.
Presidency sources indicate that Dr. Brempong has been reassigned to the Jubilee House, though the reasons for her transfer remain unclear.
Madjie brings a wealth of experience in investment promotion and legal affairs, having spent over a decade facilitating trade partnerships between Ghana, Africa, and the United States.
He has played a key role in business advocacy through his leadership at the American Chamber of Commerce in Ghana (AMCHAM Ghana) and has also been actively involved in coordinating the AfCFTA Resource Center.
Additionally, Madjie is an Insolvency Practitioner and an Abshire-Inamori International Leadership Fellow, further strengthening his credentials for the role.
