The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team has rejected claims made by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin that drones were used to monitor his private properties.
In a recent interview, Afenyo-Markin suggested he was aware of the committee’s actions but had chosen to ignore them.
However, Martin Kpebu, a legal practitioner and member of the ORAL committee, dismissed the allegations as “ridiculous” and urged the public to disregard them.
“It’s false. The ORAL committee has not deployed drones to surveil the Minority Leader’s properties. That claim is not true. When you look at the members of the team, it’s clear we would never engage in such an action. We don’t even own drones as a committee,” Kpebu stated in an interview with Citi News.
Kpebu also addressed rumors suggesting that additional operatives were secretly working for the committee, emphasizing that no outside personnel are involved in their operations.
“We only have the official members of the committee working on this case. Such claims are often made for strategic purposes in a democracy,” he added.
