Bayern Munich forward Jamal Musiala has committed his future to the club by signing a contract extension that will keep him at the Allianz Arena until June 2030.
The 21-year-old, who joined Bayern from Chelsea’s academy in 2019, initially signed a professional contract in March 2021, extending his stay until 2026. Now, with his latest deal, he has pledged to remain at the Bundesliga giants for an additional four years.
“Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I took my first steps in professional football here, and I truly believe we can accomplish great things together in the coming years,” Musiala said.
Born in Stuttgart but raised in England, Musiala opted to represent Germany at the international level in 2021, despite being eligible to play for England or Nigeria. Since then, he has earned 38 caps for the German national team.
During his time at Bayern, Musiala has been a key contributor, scoring 58 goals and providing 31 assists in 193 senior appearances. His impressive performances have helped the club secure multiple titles, including the Champions League and four Bundesliga championships.
This season, the young playmaker has been in outstanding form, netting 15 goals and assisting eight times in 30 appearances across all competitions. His contributions in the Bundesliga—14 goal involvements in 18 matches—have played a crucial role in Bayern’s commanding eight-point lead over second-placed Bayer Leverkusen as they push to reclaim the league title.
Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer praised Musiala’s talent, stating: “People come to the stadium to watch players like Jamal Musiala. He is an exceptional footballer—at times, it feels like the rules of gravity don’t apply to him.”
