The Office of COP Nathan Kofi Boakye, Director of Security Operations at the Presidency, has dismissed allegations that the senior police officer was involved in inciting disturbances at Terminals 2 and 3 of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
In a statement issued to address the claims, the Office described the accusations as unfounded and malicious, emphasizing that COP Boakye had no role in creating or supporting any form of disorder at the airport.
The statement clarified that during the incident in question, COP Boakye acted decisively to restore calm and prevent further disruptions caused by a group of unruly individuals. His intervention, the Office noted, ensured the safety of passengers, airport staff, and property at KIA.
“It is categorically false to suggest that COP Nathan Kofi Boakye had any involvement in orchestrating chaos. His actions were focused entirely on maintaining order and protecting the public,” the statement read.
As a respected law enforcement professional, COP Boakye is committed to safeguarding peace and security. The Office further urged the public to disregard these baseless claims and called on media outlets to thoroughly verify information before spreading false narratives.
The statement reaffirmed COP Boakye’s dedication to his duties and expressed confidence in his continued service to the nation.
