The Ministry of Education has appealed to the public to assist security agencies in locating a teacher from Bole Senior High School who has reportedly gone into hiding after a viral video allegedly showed him engaging in sexual misconduct with a student in the school’s science laboratory.

Speaking on Eyewitness News, Deputy Minister of Education, Clement Apaak said the Ministry is treating the matter with urgency and has already initiated steps to ensure the teacher is held accountable.

According to him, the teacher is currently being sought by law enforcement agencies after reportedly fleeing following the emergence of the video.

“Our checks indicate that the teacher has gone into hiding. We know that law enforcement is also playing its part, and he is being sought after. If Ghanaians can assist law enforcement to apprehend him, it would be very helpful,” Dr. Apaak stated.

He stressed that the Ministry is committed to ensuring that the teacher faces both legal consequences and the full disciplinary procedures of the education service.

The Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service (GES) have assured the public that investigations into the matter are ongoing and that appropriate action will be taken once all facts have been established.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Service has interdicted the teacher pending the outcome of investigations.

The incident has sparked widespread public concern, with many calling for swift action to protect students and uphold professional standards within Ghana’s educational institutions.
