Harry Maguire scored a contentious last-minute header to give Manchester United a dramatic 2-1 victory over Leicester City in their FA Cup fourth-round match at Old Trafford.

The match seemed destined for extra time after Joshua Zirkzee equalized Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s first-half header. However, in the 93rd minute, Maguire – seemingly offside and unmarked – headed in a Bruno Fernandes free-kick at the far post to seal the win for United and send them through to the next round.

Leicester, managed by former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, took the lead just before halftime. A cross from Bilal El Khannouss found Wilfred Ndidi, whose shot was parried by Andre Onana, only for the ball to deflect onto De Cordova-Reid’s head, giving Leicester the lead.

Manchester United responded after the break, with Caleb Okoli clearing off the line to deny Alejandro Garnacho. However, United’s persistence paid off in the 68th minute when Rasmus Højlund’s flick from Garnacho’s cross fell kindly for Zirkzee, who calmly tapped into an empty net.

With the game nearing extra time, United grabbed a dramatic late winner when Maguire rose to meet Fernandes’ perfectly placed free kick, securing all three points in a thrilling finale.
