Professor Ransford Gyampo, the newly appointed acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), has made it clear that neutrality is not an option when addressing systemic wrongdoing.
In a Facebook post following his appointment by President John Mahama, Professor Gyampo emphasized the need to take a firm stance in correcting injustices. “There can be no neutrality when one is tasked with helping to right what is wrong in the service of the nation,” he stated.
Expressing his appreciation for the opportunity, he wrote, “Thank you, Prez Mahama, and humbled by the many congratulatory texts. I’ll serve Ghana.” He assured the public that his principles and commitment to national service remain unchanged, saying, “I will remain the Yaw Gyampo that you all know.”
Prior to this appointment, Professor Gyampo was a political science professor at the University of Ghana. He has been an outspoken advocate on various national issues and is widely recognized for his independent-minded approach in the fight against wrongdoing in governance and public service.
